I welcome November with open arms. For some reason this year, having Halloween behind me is such a relief. We had a fabulous time trick-or-treating, and the kids scavenged enough candy that we shouldn’t have to buy more until the new year. However, I am grateful to be moving into my favorite holiday season.
If you are like me, and love to fill the holidays with bits of hand crafted goodness, this tutorial is for you. Perhaps you remember this table from our Shoestring Wedding featured in Be loved mag? It is so easy that it almost seems silly, but if it sparks an afternoon activity with someone you love, then, well, that’s just perfect! My 8 year old daughter helped me with this project. She was pretty pleased with her handiwork! Wouldn’t this backdrop would be lovely above a Thanksgiving or Christmas buffet table. Give it a festive theme by choosing fabrics that compliment the holiday. Or, you can embellish it with sparkly ribbons or hanging ornaments mixed in with the torn fabric. Get creative!
